MT5 Common Issues and Solutions
1. Login Failed
Reason: Wrong server, incorrect login details, or unverified account.
Solution:
• Use the exact server name provided by your broker.
• Copy and paste your login details to avoid typing errors.
• Make sure your trading account is fully verified and active.
2. No Connection / Red Connection Status
Reason: Weak internet connection or incorrect server selection.
Solution:
• Restart MT5.
• Check your internet connection.
• Re-select the correct server.
• Disable VPN if your broker restricts VPN routes.
3. Charts Not Updating
Reason: Hidden symbols or MT5 not refreshing.
Solution:
• Right-click Market Watch → Show All.
• Switch timeframes to refresh the chart.
• Restart MT5 if necessary.
4. Cannot Open Trades
Reason: Wrong lot size, insufficient margin, or market closed.
Solution:
• Ensure your lot size meets broker requirements.
